If the payment failed, we will send an SMS and push notification to the customer explaining the payment bounced and why.
We make the member aware, they will not be charged with a dishonour fee if they have the money for their membership in their account by 7 pm.
After seeing this reminder, over 70% of members will fix their accounts and will not incur a dishonour fee.
The second payment will be attempted at 7 pm.
If SMS and push notifications are ignored and the scheduled payment attempt fails, a member dishonour fee is applied.
To avoid repeatedly charging dishonour fees, you can set a cap on the number of fees applied before payments are paused to encourage the member to return to the gym and resolve their account.
